Privacy Policy
ScrollPact ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the ScrollPact mobile application ("App") on iOS.
1. Overview
ScrollPact is a single-device (standalone) app. In general, all exercise-session data—including your exercise type, counts, earned unlock minutes, and timestamps—is stored only on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your exercise session data on our servers.
2. Information We Process on Your Device
2.1 Camera, pose detection, and exercise sessions
- To count exercises and provide on-screen feedback, the App uses your device camera feed and on-device pose detection.
- The App processes the camera input on your device to estimate your pose and calculate exercise progress.
- Your exercise sessions (exercise type, rep/count values, earned minutes, and time information) are stored only on your device using SwiftData.
2.2 Unlock configuration and reminder settings
- When you select apps to unlock and unlock time windows, the App stores related settings locally in an App Group / UserDefaults.
- If you enable daily reminders, the App stores your chosen reminder time only on your device and uses the system’s local notification service.
2.3 Profile information
- If you set a profile display name and avatar, that information is stored only on your device (local preferences / app storage).
2.4 No account required for core tracking
- ScrollPact does not require you to create an account or log in for core exercise tracking. We do not store user account data on our side.
3. Device Permissions
The App may request access to:
- Camera — to detect your pose and count exercises.
- Photo Library — only if you use the profile avatar feature.
- Notifications — to deliver reminders (handled by the system notification service).
You can revoke these in your device Settings → Privacy. If you disable a permission, the related features will stop working until you turn it back on.
4. Data Storage and Retention
- On-device storage: data described above is stored only on your device. We do not upload your exercise sessions or unlock configuration to a server we operate.
- Data remains until you delete sessions in the app, clear the App’s data, or remove the App.
- We also store a small local flag for the free-use rule (e.g., whether the first-time free access has been consumed) using App Group storage.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
We do not transmit your exercise-session data or profile data to our servers or to analytics/advertising partners.
We do not use our own server to process or store your exercise session data.
6. Children's Privacy
ScrollPact can be used by people of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. All exercise data stays on the user’s device.
If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about your child’s use of the App, please contact us (see section 10).
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses Apple system frameworks (e.g. Camera, Notifications, SwiftData/SwiftData-backed local storage, App Store in-app purchases).
For subscriptions and purchase restoration, payment processing is handled by Apple (StoreKit 2).
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and deletion: your data lives on your device. You can delete exercise sessions in the app or remove the App to delete all app data.
- Permissions: you can change camera, photo library, and notification permissions at any time in your device Settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
